It looks like Cambridge Analytica was not the only company that had access on Facebook user data and their friends data.

As it is known, Facebook has given permission to many device manufacturing companies to access its user’s personal data, including the chinese Huawei, one of the biggest telecommunication behemoths in the world. The american intelligence officials have described the occurrence as a national security threat, urging people to avoid Huawei phones.

Times reports that, the agreement between Facebook and the chinese companies has allowed them access to personal data from Facebook users and their friends, providing them with information about their work and education history, relationship status and likes.

Yet, none of this is really in dispute, as Facebook itself has verified that those claims are true and that the company has truly provided access to Huawei. It is worth mentioning that Huawei has denied any allegations of sharing those data with the chinese government. However, the Pentagon took a rather harsh position on the topic, banning the use of devices from both ZTE and Huawei in military bases.
