May people are facing this problem. They're getting ready for a professional video call, but they're still in their houses, where someone can walk in or the room is messy. For this reason, Microsoft launches a new feature in the Skype service that offers the ability to blur the background and only you would be clearly visible to your interlocutor.
Background Blur works just like Microsoft Teams, where it was launched last September. The focus is on the user's face with just one click and the "Blur my background" option on the video call icon. To accomplish this, Microsoft uses Artificial Intelligence technology that has been trained to recognize the user's hair, hands and arms, blurring all other parts of the frame.
Background Blur is available in the latest version of Skype for desktops and laptops.
